Here’s part of what runs the museum
One of our 3D printers
One of the fail Darwin busts made by our extruder printer
And here’s the Robot stuck in the mud
Check back next week, we’ll have another guest with us for “Episode 8- Ain’t Got Time to Bleed”
Sorry for the delay folks! Here's this week's pictures showing you how we go about making a plaster jacket. The pictures that you see with Megan (bright pink shirt) in it, is the same rhino pelvis.
Here are some examples of the pedestals. For the most part we stick to making them similar to a rounded shape of the specimen but every now and then you can have fun with it.
Next you add the toilet paper Add the vapor barrier (trash bag)
Then start with the plaster burritos
Make sure it's nice and smooth!
Here's plaster jackets that are finish on one side they still need to be flipped, and then capped.
See, we told you plaster jackets were near and dear to Shawn, look at that smile! And yes he did just peel that jacket off of a vertical rock.
Don't forget to check back Friday for "Episode 7- The 7th Technician, The Hard Disconnect"
